Emty Solution from Alkem is Lactulose 10g/15ml laxative that softens stool by drawing water into bowel and reduces blood ammonia in liver patients
Emty Syrup by Alkem Labs contains Lactulose Solution I.P. 66.67% w/v. It is a non-absorbable disaccharide that acidifies colon, increases water retention, softens stool and promotes peristalsis. Also used to prevent and treat portal-systemic encephalopathy by reducing ammonia absorption
Notes / Caution
Do not use in galactosemia, intestinal obstruction. Diabetic patients caution. May cause gas, cramps initially. Shake well. Keep out of reach of children
